‘HER LIFE MATTERS’ DOCUMENTARY IS LIVE

This documentary ‘Her Life Matters’ asks why each year, world-wide tens of thousands of mothers bleed to death needlessly – lives that could be saved by a single injection of an inexpensive generic drug called tranexamic acid.

Tranexamic acid was invented sixty years ago to stop mothers from bleeding to death after childbirth.

The Woman trial showed that timely treatment cuts bleeding deaths by one third. The World Health Organisation says this is an essential drug for women who bleed severely after childbirth. So why aren’t women getting it? Why is this lifesaving medicine primarily used as a cosmetic for skin lightening?
